Aragbiji of Iragbiji Issues Ultimatum to Osun United and Osun Babes: “Vacate Skill Acquisition Center in 24 Hours”

Aragbiji of Iragbiji

In a surprising turn of events, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba AbdulRasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, has delivered a stern directive to the management of Osun United and Osun Babes football clubs. The royal decree orders both teams to vacate the skill acquisition center, constructed by the SDG through the Federal Government and handed over to the state government for the benefit of the unemolyed youths in the state.

The backdrop of this ultimatum involves the Deputy Governor of Osun State, who also serves as the Commissioner for Sports, designating the skill acquisition center as accommodation for both football clubs. However, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, in a recent proclamation, vehemently expressed that the structure is intended for skill acquisition, aimed at empowering the youth in the state, and should not be repurposed for football-related activities.

Oba AbdulRasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, in a statement issued during a visit by the Osun United football club management, led by Chairman Akin Maxwell, emphasized the immediate vacation of the structure by both teams. The video footage of the incident has rapidly circulated online, capturing the Oba’s firm stance on the matter.

The Aragbiji revealed that the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, conducted inspections at the Iragbiji camp twice without notifying or involving him in the process. Expressing disappointment, Oba AbdulRasheed Ayotunde Olabomi stated, “The Deputy Governor came to the camp for inspection on two occasions in Iragbiji, which is just a stone’s throw from my palace but never came to my palace to notify me of his intentions.”

Continuing, he added, “He did not even deem it fit to call me or invite me over to his office for a discussion on the matter.” The royal decree, with its 24-hour ultimatum, adds intensity to the unfolding situation, leaving Osun United and Osun Babes with a swift decision to make regarding their use of the designated skill acquisition center.
