Osun United and Osun Babes handball teams are gearing up to participate in the 2024 National Division One Handball League, scheduled to take place from July 14th to 20th in Benin City, Edo State.
In a news release by handball Association of Nigeria, both Osun teams have completed the registration process and have been listed among the teams to participate in the championship.
According to a statement released by the Secretary General of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN), Mr. Almu Umar Lambu, teams are expected to arrive in Benin City on July 14th for a draw before matches commence the next day. The league will run through to July 19th, with departures on July 20th.
The National Division One League is the second tier league where champions and runners-up in both male and female categories will gain promotion to the top tier Ardova Handball Premier League.
The League is proudly sponsored by the Edo State government and the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN).
