Despite her heroics, the Queens fell 1-0 to Nasarawa Amazons FC on Matchday 13 of the 2024/2025 NWFL Premiership season at the Lafia City Stadium.
The decisive moment came in the 89th minute when Akekoromowei Janet found the back of the net for the hosts, latching onto an assist from Mathias Josephine. The goal secured all three points for Nasarawa Amazons and sealed their place in the highly anticipated Super Six stage.
While the spotlight typically shines on goal scorers, it was Amala’s brilliance that captured hearts on the day. The Edo Queens shot-stopper pulled off a series of spectacular saves, frustrating Nasarawa’s attack for most of the encounter. Her commanding presence and reflexes were evident, reminding fans and pundits alike why she’s been one of the standout performers this season.

Despite missing out on an eighth clean sheet, Amala’s season stats remain stellar — seven clean sheets and just three goals conceded in 10 league games.
