In the realm of Osun State politics, a narrative has emerged, claiming that Yeye Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni, the sister of Executive Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke, holds undue influence over state affairs. Detractors, particularly from a key opposition party, have painted a picture of her as the puppet master behind the governor’s decisions.
However, fact checks have revealed that these claims are not only baseless but also ludicrous.
Critics have turned these allegations into a campaign strategy, suggesting that the Governor cannot make a move without his sister’s approval. Such assertions have become a popular taunt among political opponents, but the reality is far from the narrative being peddled.
One of such baseless allegations was that she purchased official vehicles for local government Caretaker Chairmen in Osun State.
One must wonder why a sane person would come up with such bogus claims.
And a clear minded person would question the credibility of these claims.
The funniest part of it all, is seeing enlightened individuals, join in on the fabrication and spread of these unfounded rumors.

Well, as a party man, It’s essential to bring clarity to the situation and dispel these misconceptions.
After doing a thorough check, i found that infact Yeye Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni does not in anyway influence the key decisions of the current administration.
Why would she want to do that? We have a cabinet for that. And she has never been part of the cabinet. She does not even attend cabinet meetings with top government officials.
The state has a cabinet, a body of high-ranking officials responsible for the day-to-day management of the government and decision-making. The idea that she holds the reins of the Osun State Government is a fallacy only entertained by those unfamiliar with the workings of a government structure and obviously, detractors of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
During a discussion with someone who also supported these false claims, I asked a simple question: “Since the emergence of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, have you ever seen Yeye Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni attend a cabinet meeting with other top government officials?” Needless to say, the person was left dumbfounded. Yet they claimed she has been instrumental in key decisions affecting the state. How?
One thing is certain, and cannot be disputed, like every mother, Yeye is overly protective of her siblings and understandably so.
Her protective nature is grounded in familial ties and her historical role in the Adeleke dynasty.
Yeye Dupe’s protective instincts have deep roots, particularly since the unfortunate demise of her brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke. Her focus extends beyond physical safety; she is devoted to preserving the emotional well-being of her siblings and their children.
As the only sister of the Adeleke brothers in Ede, Osun State, she has continued to play significant roles, even during her brother’s struggles to become Osun Governor. Her dedication to the cause was evident in her role as the treasurer of the campaign group.
She serves as a mother figure to all of them, ensuring the smooth operation of their homes and businesses.
In essence, Yeye Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni is a pillar of support and strength for her family. The accusations of undue influence are unfounded, driven by political opponents seeking to undermine the accomplishments of the current administration. It’s time to set the record straight and appreciate Yeye Dupe’s invaluable contributions to her family’s welfare and the progress of Osun State.
