In a devastating turn of events, José Roberto Cordeiro de Oliveira, Liverpool legend Roberto Firmino’s Father, has passed away at the age of 62. The heartbreaking incident occurred on November 18, 2023, when José suffered a heart attack during a family trip to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The news was confirmed by the player’s advisors and close friends to Brazilian outlet UOL. Known affectionately as Papa Firmino, José was a significant supporter of his son, who currently plays for Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.

The Firmino family is currently working on contacting the Brazilian embassy in Dubai to arrange for the transportation of José’s body back to Brazil.
