Olatunji Baruwa, the renowned Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer, is poised to become the newest addition to the coaching staff at Nasarawa United Football Club, located in Lafia, Nasarawa State. Mr. Akinolu Maxwell, who serves as Baruwa’s representative, has confirmed that a an agreement has been reached for the former Osun United head coach to assume the role of goalkeepers coach at Nasarawa United. The official unveiling ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow.
Reports indicate that Baruwa is set to receive a substantial increase in his earnings, estimated to be around 400% more than what he was earning with Osun United. Maxwell Akinolu, representing the esteemed coach, stated that the unveiling event will take place in Lafia and will be attended by key members of the Nasarawa United management.

Furthermore, Mr. Akinolu emphasized that Nasarawa United’s decision to bring Baruwa on board is a testament to his extensive experience and track record in the field of goalkeeping. “They are well aware of the caliber of expertise Baruwa brings to the table, and they believe his signing will significantly enhance the development of players, potentially opening doors for them to represent the national team,” he remarked.
Olatunji Baruwa himself is reported to be enthusiastic and content with the agreement, looking forward to contributing his wealth of knowledge to Nasarawa United’s football endeavors.
