Professor Olayinka Ramata Karim, Vice-Chancellor of Fountain University, Osogbo, has assured of the school’s adequate support for the forthcoming Southwest Zonal Elimination Playoffs for the National Youth Games. The event is scheduled to take place later this month.
While addressing the directors of sports from the six Southwest states during a courtesy visit and inspection of the university’s sports facilities, Professor Ramata expressed her appreciation for selecting Fountain University as one of the host venues for the zonal playoff. She promised to provide necessary support for the successful execution of the competition.
As a sports enthusiast and former representative of her institution during her undergraduate days, Professor Ramata is familiar with sports programs and coordination. She also served on the committee that hosted the National Youth Games in Ilorin a few years ago.

Professor Ramata said, “I want to appeal to the directors to advise the athletes to abide by the rules and ethics of the university during their stay for the competition. Fountain University is an Islamic institution, and all activities are guided by Almighty Allah’s principles.”
The Southwest Zonal Coordinator from the Federal Ministry of Sports, Mrs. Fabunmi Evelyn, and the General Manager of Osun State Sports Council, Mr. Rotimi Dumoye, expressed their gratitude to Professor Ramata for her kindness and support. They assured her of their commitment to abiding by the university’s rules and ethics.
