Disappointment boiled over into anger last night in Ivory Coast as the Ghana national team bus was attacked by fans following their 2-2 draw with Mozambique that could result in Ghana’s elimination from AFCON. This came after a tournament in which the Black Stars failed to secure a single victory, despite Jordan Ayew’s valiant effort scoring both penalties in their final match.
Coach Chris Hughton took full responsibility for the lackluster performance, stating, “My results with the Black Stars have not been good enough.” However, a glimmer of hope remains for Ghana to claw their way back into the competition.
