Fatai Abdullahi Oluwadayo was born on July 22, 2002, in Osun, a state in southwestern Nigeria. The state is bounded to the east by Ekiti and Ondo states, to the north by Kwara State, to the south by Ogun State, and to the west by Oyo State. He began playing football at a young age and joined the local team in the state. He quickly showed promise as a player, and scouts from various clubs noticed his talent.

Club Career

After his successful run in the Nigerian National League, Abdullahi joined Abia Warriors FC prior to the 2020/2021 NPFL season where he showcased his exceptional goal-scoring ability from the midfield position.

After a successful season with Abia Warriors, Abdullahi caught the attention of Enyimba International FC, a neighboring team of Abia Warriors, due to his impressive performances, and they swiftly recruited him ahead of the 2021/2022 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

He swiftly established himself as a pivotal player for the team, playing a significant role in their triumph in the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). Abdullahi’s exceptional displays for Enyimba earned him widespread acclaim.

After clinching the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) title with Enyimba, Fatai moved to Rivers United Football Club ahead of the 2023|2024 NPFL season. Despite initially signing a two-year contract with the Port Harcourt-based club, Fatai left after just six months due to limited playing opportunities.

Despite receiving several offers from other Nigerian Premier League clubs, the 22-year-old midfielder opted for a new challenge. He accepted an offer from Rwandan Premier League side, Etoile De L’est FC. Fatai made his debut for Etoile De L’est on January 13, 2023, against Musanze FC in a Rwandan Premier League match. Since then, he has been an integral part of the team, featuring in every match and establishing himself as a key player.
