Seyi Olofinjana Predicts Manchester City to Win Tight Premier League Race
Former Nigerian midfielder Seyi Olofinjana participated in a Budweiser Kings of Football Show X Space and gave his thoughts on the Premier League title race. Olofinjana believes Manchester City will clinch the championship despite a strong push from Liverpool and Arsenal.
“Manchester City are poised for their typical end-of-season surge,” Olofinjana said, “[although] stiff competition from Liverpool and Arsenal pushing them to the limit.”
Speaking about Arsenal’s chances with the Premier League title, Seyi Olofinjana opined; “Arsenal will not win the English Premier league this season.”

While acknowledging the challenge from both teams, Olofinjana sees City’s experience and firepower as key factors. “[There is] nothing to stop Manchester City from their usual end of the season run,” he remarked. He also highlighted the importance of the upcoming Manchester City vs. Liverpool match, stating, “The outcome of the Manchester City vs. Liverpool match will be crucial in determining whether Manchester City wins the league or not.”
Olofinjana emphasized the advantage City possesses with Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland healthy and available for selection. He also acknowledged Liverpool’s motivation, stating, “Liverpool will want to do it for Jürgen Klopp by winning Manchester City in the Premier League today at Anfield.”
