Igbajo United GM Praises Fans Amid Challenges, Promises Better Days Ahead

The General Manager of Igbajo United FC, Prince Adekunle Fakile, has commended the club’s loyal fans for their unwavering support despite a challenging start to the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

With just one point and no victories after six matches, Igbajo United remains at the bottom of the table. However, the team’s GM expressed optimism following the club’s spirited performance against Dakkada FC of Uyo.

“Kudos to our amazing fans!” Fakile said. “Your unwavering support has been a constant source of motivation for us. Today’s match showed glimpses of our potential, as we scored our first league goal and ended the first half with a promising 1-1 draw. Though the second half didn’t go our way due to a disputed penalty decision, we’re taking positives from this away game.”

Fakile assured fans that the new technical crew has been working tirelessly to change the team’s fortunes. He urged supporters to remain patient, adding that the next home game against Abia Comets could mark a turning point.

“We’ve made a significant leap from the NLO to the NNL, where we now face professional teams like Crown FC, Dakkada FC, and Abia Comets. The challenge is immense, but we are committed to learning and improving,” he said.

Igbajo United will be hoping for a change in fortunes as they look to secure their first win of the season. Prince Fakile closed with a rallying cry: “Thank you for standing by us, Igbajo United fans! Your loyalty means the world to us. Igbajo United: All for One!”
