There was excitement in the camp of Nigeria Women’s Football League Championship side, Osun Babes FC, as players received brand-new pairs of boots from the club’s management team in a gesture aimed at boosting morale and enhancing performance.

During the presentation, Team Manager Mr. Tope Akinbade and Club Secretary Mrs. Ronke Ogunbanwo expressed gratitude to the Osun State government, led by Governor Ademola Adeleke, for its continued support in providing an enabling environment and necessary equipment for sports development in the state.
Mrs. Ogunbanwo encouraged the players to reciprocate the government’s goodwill by giving their best performances on the pitch.

“The state government is doing well to take care of you and your welfare. ‘To whom much is given, much is expected.’ The onus is now on you players to play your part by delivering strong performances on the field,” she stated.
Team captain Victory Odanlumen also lauded the club’s management for prioritizing player welfare, emphasizing that the provision of quality soccer boots would further motivate the squad.

“We truly appreciate the management for providing us with these boots. We will play our hearts out to ensure that Osun Babes perform well in the President Federation Cup and secure promotion back to the NWFL Premiership,” Odanlumen assured.
With this show of commitment from both the management and players, Osun Babes FC is poised to push for a successful campaign in the upcoming women’s version of the President Federation Cup Women Round of 32 clash against N-Youth Academy, Abuja in the early next month.
