The Round of 32 of the 2025 Women’s President Federation Cup witnessed an exciting display of football across multiple venues, with Osun Babes FC, Remo Stars Ladies, and Edo Queens securing emphatic victories to book their places in the Round of 16.
At the Ilorin Township Stadium, Osun Babes FC outclassed N-Youth Sports Academy Ladies with a dominant 3-0 victory. The match began with early pressure from Osun Babes, who broke the deadlock in the 4th minute through Asha Omolola’s well-taken left-footed strike. Despite relentless attacking play, they were held at bay by an impressive performance from the N-Youth Ladies’ goalkeeper, who made a string of crucial saves.
The persistence of Osun Babes paid off in the 70th minute when Moyinoluwa doubled the lead with a sensational strike from outside the box. The third goal came in the 80th minute after a dangerous cross from Victory Odanlumen was inadvertently turned into the net by a N-Youth defender, sealing a comprehensive win for the Osogbo-based side.
In Ayungba, Kogi State, Remo Stars Ladies put up a solid display to defeat Plateau Queens 3-0 at the Prince Abubakar Audu University Stadium. Kafayat Bashiru opened the scoring in the 24th minute, heading home a cross from Taiwo Adegoke. Bolaji Olamide’s skillful play led to a second goal ten minutes later, setting up Aishat Animashaun for a tap-in. Hannah Ibrahim wrapped up the win in the 85th minute, heading in a precise cross from Daniella Fagbenro.
Elsewhere, Edo Queens recorded the most emphatic win of the round, demolishing Kada Queens 12-0 in a one-sided affair. Ibom Angels also made headlines with a remarkable 17-0 rout of Sporting Angels, while Heartland Queens thrashed Crystal Stars 7-0. Rivers Angels also cruised into the next round with a 7-0 win over Moje Queens.
Bayelsa Queens edged past Naija Ratels 2-1 in a tightly contested tie, while Sunshine Queens and Castmog Ladies played out a goalless draw. Sunshine Queens eventually triumphed 8-7 on penalties to book their spot in the Round of 16.
