The curtain will draw on the second edition of the Fidelis Ilechukwu Peace and Unity Football Competition this Friday, June 20, 2025, as Rising Stars FC and BSB Football Club battle it out for glory in the highly anticipated final match.

The encounter will take place at the Baptist Pitch, Nasarawa Area, in the heart of Jos, Plateau State, and kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
The tournament, which started with 16 teams, witnessed weeks of intense competition and now only two remain.
This grassroots championship is the brainchild of Fidelis Ilechukwu, the current Technical Adviser of NPFL side, Enugu Rangers International and Assistant Coach of the Super Eagles, Nigeria’s senior national team. Ilechukwu, who previously worked as the Head Coach of Plateau United FC initiated the competition during his time in Jos as a way of giving back to the community that warmly embraced him.
The final match promises to be a very interesting encounter and of course after the game, there will be medal presentations, along with souvenirs for teams, individual players, coaches, and match officials in recognition of their commitment and contributions throughout the competition.
The Fidelis Ilechukwu Peace and Unity Football Competition continues to stand as a platform for discovering talents and promoting unity, peace, and development through sports in Plateau State and beyond.
