Abakaliki FC Involved in Road Accident After President Federation Cup Final

Abakaliki FC’s team bus was involved in a road accident in Ore, Ondo State, while returning from Lagos following their defeat in the final of the 2024/25 Nigeria President Federation Cup.

The Ebonyi-based club had made history by reaching the final of the prestigious tournament, which took place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on Saturday evening. The match ended in a goalless draw after regulation time, with Kwara United FC eventually emerging victorious 4-3 on penalties.

Tragedy was narrowly averted as, thankfully, there were no casualties reported in the accident and no lives were lost.
