In a spectacular display of precision, left wing-back Mudashir Olamide Olayiwola became Osun United’s hero with two remarkable freekick goals in the Match Day 10 encounter against FC One Rocket in the Nigerian National League (NNL). Olayiwola’s stellar performance secured a crucial win for his team, marking his first league goals since joining Osun United.
After the game, Olayiwola expressed his elation, emphasizing the importance of the victory for the entire team. He credited the technical crew and teammates for their collective effort and deserving success.
Speaking about his goals to Futball Naija, Olayiwola stated, “I am really happy for the goals because it’s my first league goals for Osun United Football Club since joining the club. Most importantly, I am really happy for all our technical crew and my teammates; we all deserve this victory.”

Looking ahead to the next match against Inter Lagos FC, Olayiwola assured fans of Osun United that the team is determined to secure all three points in the away fixture. “Yes we’re going away for our next match and we promise all our fans we’re going there next week to pick all three points,” he said.
Reflecting on his current form, he attributed his goal-scoring success to the efforts of the technical crew and expressed gratitude for their role in player development.
Olayiwola also took a moment to appreciate the unwavering support of Osun United’s fans and supporters, acknowledging their consistent presence during home and away games. He said; ““I want to appreciate our fans because they are always there for us during our home and away games, their support has always kept us going and we appreciate them a lot.”
He also extended his gratitude to the management of the club and the government, specifically recognizing the contributions of Governor Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke and Deputy Governor who doubles as the Commissioner for Sports in the state, Prince Kola Adewusi. “My gratitude also goes to His Excellency the Governor of Osun State, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke and his deputy who doubles as the commissioner for sports in the state, Prince Kola Adewusi, we appreciate them for all they are doing and we are promising them that with the help of God, we will gain promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL)this year.”
On a personal note, Olayiwola expressed deep appreciation for the support of his parents, especially his mother, Alh Aminat Mojisola Kariola, the PDP women’s leader of Alimosho Local Government Area in Lagos State.
