ASE Ridyem FC’s 14-year-old goalkeeper Ridwan Kazeem continues his impressive run in the New Year Mega Lottery Nationwide League One (NLO)! He’s not only secured two clean sheets in a row, but also saved two penalties in those matches.
Kazeem’s journey began when ASE Ridyem’s coach, Adekunle Azeez Azular, decided to switch goalkeepers after the team’s 2-0 loss to Igbajo United Football Club. Though Kazeem conceded in his debut against Fehinty FC, he crucially saved a late penalty to earn his team a very important point.
That performance earned him a starting spot against Hammola FC in the subsequent match, where he kept a clean sheet and saved another penalty. He continued his heroics with another clean sheet in the next match against Karamba FC on Saturday, helping his team secure a vital victory.

Kazeem’s performances have surprised many! Though, the 14 year old has been outstanding for ASE Ridyem FC in the Under 17 SmartCity Osun State Football League, no one ever thought that he would take that form to senior team.
Known for his confidence and all-around goalkeeping skills, particularly his ability to play the ball out from the back, Kazeem has been instrumental in helping Coach Azular’s team climb away from the bottom of the NLO table.
