Osun United Football Club earned a walkover victory in the match day 19 encounter of the Nigerian National League (NNL) as TradeSafe FC fails to show up at the Kwara State Sports Complex, the adopted home ground of the Osogbo based team.
With the Omoluabi Giants reaching ahead of the 3 pm kickoff time, match officials waited for the stipulated period for the other team to arrive before declaring TradeSafe FC absent.
This grants Osun United FC a 3-0 win, boosting their hopes for a promotion playoff spot in the NNL Conference B group. TradeSafe FC’s absence seals their fate of relegation, languishing at the bottom of the table with just 13 points from 18 games.
While TradeSafe’s reason for missing the match remains unknown at the time of filing this report, Osun United will hope to follow up this easy victory by securing another win against Gateway FC in their last game of the NNL season next week to get a slim chance of making one of the two promotion play-off spots in the group. Of course this permutation is subject to if the fellow promotion play-off contenders already ahead of them falters.
NNL Final Day Fixtures (Conference B)
- Tradesafe FC Vs Solution FC
- Gateway United Vs Osun United
- Inter Lagos FC Vs Ijebu United

In the NNL, four teams (after the Super 8 Play-off) are set to promote to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), with relegation looming for the bottom twelve teams to the Nigeria Nationwide League.
