Ejigbo City Football Club, a newly formed Nationwide League One (NLO) team, has introduced its coaching staff ahead of the highly anticipated 2024/2025 New Year Mega Lottery NLO Season. Leading the charge is Head Coach Ibrahim Okikiola, who will be assisted by Segun Onijingin.
At the unveiling ceremony held in Ejigbo town, Coach Okikiola expressed his gratitude to the football community, particularly the Osun State Football Association, represented by Secretary Mr. Amoo Abayomi. In his remarks, Okikiola shared his excitement about returning to Ejigbo, which he considers his home, and called for unity among local grassroots coaches to help elevate the team’s performance. “I cannot do it alone,” he said, urging everyone to work together for the club’s success.
Assistant Coach Segun Onijingin also thanked the club’s management for entrusting him with the role and pledged his full support to Head Coach Okikiola in moving the team forward.
Mr. Amoo Abayomi, Secretary of the Osun State Football Association, urged stakeholders to support Coach Okikiola and the team, expressing confidence that the coach would lead Ejigbo City FC to promotion. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the coaches, management, and the FA to ensure the team’s success. He also reminded the club’s financiers of the financial demands of football, offering prayers for their continued prosperity.
With this new leadership, Ejigbo City FC is set to make an impact in the upcoming NLO season, as the local football community rallies behind the team.
