Hammola FC continued their red-hot form in the ongoing 2025/2026 New Year Mega Lottery Nationwide League One (NLO) campaign, cruising to a 3-0 victory over HMK FC on Thursday at the Lanre Leke Sports Complex, Ile Ogbo—Osun Center venue for the #NLO.

The win marks Hammola FC’s third consecutive victory, solidifying their position as one of the standout teams in Group A of the Osun Center.
The match kicked off with high energy, and Hammola FC wasted no time asserting their dominance. Star forward Awojobi Tomiwa used his pace and strength to break down HMK FC’s defense early in the game, nearly setting up an opener for Temitayo, whose shot was saved brilliantly by the HMK goalkeeper.
However, the deadlock was broken in the 21st minute when Adekunle Sakiru latched onto a well-delivered set piece from Oluwaseun Badejo and finished clinically to give Hammola the lead. Just four minutes later, Sakiru doubled the tally with a thunderous strike from outside the box.
Right before halftime, Hammola FC were awarded a penalty, which was confidently converted by stand-in captain Oluwaseun Badejo, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to make it 3-0.
The second half saw Hammola FC manage the game efficiently, maintaining their clean sheet and securing all three points with a commanding performance.
Prior to Thursday’s win, Hammola FC had edged ASE Ridyem FC 2-1 in their first game, courtesy of a 27th-minute strike from Awojobi and an own goal from ASE Ridyem defender Waliu. Their second win came through a narrow 1-0 victory over Victory Police FC, thanks to another decisive goal from star midfielder, Oluwaseun Badejo.

Meanwhile, Lee Bombers currently top the Group A standings at the Osun Center with 9 points from three games and a game in hand. They will aim to retain their spot when they face Akoment FC of Ede on Matchday 4, scheduled for Monday, May 5th, 2025, by 11:00 AM at the Lanre Leke Stadium in Ile Ogbo.
