While goals from Emem Essien and Precious Vincent sealed the win, it was Morufa’s commanding presence between the sticks that stood out once again. With this performance, the in-form shot-stopper has now recorded an impressive 8 clean sheets in 11 appearances across all competitions this season—conceding just 4 goals (3 from open play and 1 from the spot).

Since making her debut for Edo Queens at the start of the 2025/2026 season, Morufa has kept more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in the NWFL. Her all-round goalkeeping ability—combining shot-stopping, distribution with both feet, and aerial command—has become a key asset for the Benin-based side.

Eight NWFL teams have failed to breach her goal this season, a testament to her consistency and tireless work ethic. Morufa ranks in the league’s top three for both catches and punches, showcasing her technical versatility and reliability under pressure.

Edo Queens will next face Osun Babes Football Club in the Round of 16 of the President Federation Cup at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos, on Saturday, May 5, 2025. All eyes will be on Morufa once again as she looks to extend her fine form on the national stage.

With the #NWFLSuper6 in sight, Edo Queens and ‘Amala’ are poised for a strong finish to an already remarkable campaign.
