Oriade FC, the Osogbo-based football club competing in Nigeria’s Nationwide League One Nationwide League One (NLO), announces the appointment of Oyewale Hammed Olawale as the club’s new Assistant Coach.

The unveiling ceremony, which took place at the club’s training ground at the Osogbo Township Stadium, marked a new chapter in Oriade FC’s commitment to developing grassroots talent and solidifying their presence in the competitive New Year Mega Lottery Nationwide League One (NLO).

Coach Oyewale Hammed Olawale brings a wealth of experience and passion to the coaching bench, with over 25 years of active playing experience. A versatile footballer in his time, Oyewale played as a midfielder and can also slot in as a central defender. He played for several clubs including Neyo FC, Light Star FC, 44 Pillars, Knight FC, The Healers, and Oriade FC itself. His deep understanding of the game, leadership qualities, experience and tactical intelligence made him a respected figure on and off the pitch and these traits were crucial to his appointment.

Speaking at the unveiling, Club President Mr. Olanrewaju Samuel Oluwafikayo expressed confidence in the new appointment, saying:

“Coach Oyewale Hammed is a good addition and he’s going to contribute to the development of the team, I believe.”

With a strong belief in the philosophy, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts,” Coach Oyewale is expected to bring renewed energy and experience to the technical crew as Oriade FC continues its ambitious journey in Nigerian football.

Formed just over two years ago, Oriade FC made its NLO debut in the 2025 season, competing with determination in the Osun Center Group B.

The club, according to the President Mr. Fikayo, is committed to building a sustainable football culture in Osun State and developing talents that will shape the future of Nigerian football.
