Speaking on the upcoming fixture, Osun Babes FC’s media representative, Mr. Oluwaseun Omolola, assured fans that the team is fully prepared for the competition. “Preparation is in top gear. We are fully ready for competitive action. We reached the quarter-finals last year and hope to do better this year,” Omolola told Futball Naija.
Osun Babes FC, who were eliminated in last year’s quarter-finals by eventual champions Rivers Angels, have undergone significant squad changes ahead of this year’s campaign. Omolola acknowledged the departure of several key players but remained confident in the team’s strength. “Yes, a lot of players have left, but we are still a force to reckon with in women’s football. We have fortified our squad with exceptional players who will fill the void.”
Regarding the timing of the match, Omolola dismissed any concerns about the fixture being too soon. “No, it’s not too soon. Since last year’s NWFL Championship, our technical crew, led by Coach Wole Animasahun, has been working tirelessly. This is an opportunity to showcase what we have been practicing.”
