Oriade FC Secure First Win in NLO Osun Center with Adeleke Emmanuel’s Decisive Header

Oriade FC recorded their first victory in the New Year Mega Lottery Nationwide League One (#NLO) Osun Center after edging out Karamba FC 1-0 in a tense Group B matchday 5 encounter.

The match, played under tight conditions, remained goalless at the break despite both sides creating chances. It was a deadlock at halftime with the scoreline reading Oriade FC 0-0 Karamba FC.

Karamba FC tried to swing the momentum in their favour by making double substitutions in the 60th minute—bringing on Isiak Akeem and Adegoke Yakub for Adeleke Lekan and Mustapha Surajudeen. However, it was Oriade FC who struck just a minute later.

In the 61st minute, Adeleke Emmanuel rose highest to meet a well-delivered set-piece and powered home a header to give Oriade FC the breakthrough.

That goal proved to be the difference, as Oriade FC held on for a hard-fought 1-0 win over Karamba FC.

The victory takes Oriade FC to four points, lifting them off the bottom of the Group B table and above Alaska FC, who earlier played out a 1-1 draw with Telu FC. Alaska FC now sit on three points.

Oriade FC will be eyeing another win in their next fixture as they continue their push to avoid relegation and remain in the Nationwide League One Osun Center.
